The Sea Kayak Georgia School of Coastal Kayaking provides quality instruction and long term paddlesport development for all skill levels. All of us can benefit from working with a professional instructor no matter our paddling level. Learning the sport and art of kayaking is an ongoing process.
Sea Kayak Georgia works with individuals and groups to formulate an action plan to determines the best, safest, fun and efficient way forward. Our goal is to assist you in building an excellent foundation for a long future of kayaking growth and enjoyment.
Our School of Coastal Kayaking offers a complete range of our own brand of world class sea kayak instruction
and coaching. We also offer American
Canoe Association (ACA) and the British
Canoe Union (BCU) syllabus based curiculum.
Our facility has two classrooms allowing for discussion on weather, tides, currents and their effects on sea kayakers. Our showroom is the perfect place to discuss gear and boat design. Following classroom activities and orientation, we have easy access to the water for practical training, fun and games, and on water demonstrations.
Our on water environment is an internationally recognized paddlesports destination: Tybee Island and Little Tybee Island, Georgia. Take advantage of our local knowledge combined with our excellent programs lead by seasoned and experienced instructors.
Our online schedule lists course offerings. We know our schedule may not coincide with yours so we always offer custom times and programs to match your available dates.

Let us work with you for a series of days to immerse you in paddlesport technique. Multiple days of training allows you to focus, build your technique in a timely manner and take advantage of our amazing paddling destination. Series suggestions are listed below. Please use your imagination and tell us what you would like to combine.
We can arrange for accommodations to go with your courses. Group accommodations can be arranged and classroom work can be done at your group house or our facility classrooms. We have connections with the house rental companies and can put together and amazing package deal for you.
Combination and Coordination Series strokes refinement, linking strokes, balance really delving into the art of kayaking
Local Waters Series learn to paddle the local waters of Tybee and Little Tybee from the actual locals, we know all the best paddling places and we understand where the tide and current tell us to go
Dimensional Series bracing, edging, rolling all things moving beyond keeping the kayaking flat
Rough Water Series water reading, navigation and boat control in rough water
Sea Kayak Surfing Series learn to ride the waves: reading water, boat control, rolling, tides

Symposium Every October we host our spectacular Sea Kayak Georgia Skills Symposium and BCU Week. Coaches and students from all reaches join together for a wonderful networking of education, self discovery, and meeting new friends and seeing old friends again. Five days of trainings, assessments, fun classes fill the daylight hours. In the evenings we get together for group dinners and presentations about paddling destinations around the world. Please join us for all five days or a day or two on the weekend.
