Course Description
Every morning we will meet at Alley 3 to begin the day. Based on conditions, we will launch as a group and work on desired group skills to include paddling in rough water and visiting the southern portions of Little Tybee Island. The courses will be on the move, a paddling, learning and teaching journey. You will need to be able to paddle several miles. This is not a race, but we will cover some area teaching on the move. Through the course of the days we plan to work on rough water technique, rolls in all conditions, strokes and maneuvers, route selection based on winds and tides and share the natural wonder and beauty of the Tybee Creek River mouth, estuary and islands of the Little Tybee Island Complex. Times will vary a bit day to day as the tidal cycle and conditions change. Each day we will debrief at the end and decide starting time for next morning. This will be an immersion into tapping into the dynamic forces of Coastal Georgia and learning to flow at the top end of your skill level!

Skill level required to attend:
You must be able to control your boat in rough water and have rolled prior to the class in an outside environment. The courses will be for paddlers who have a good strokes foundation and roll and are ready to work beyond flat water. We will work on paddling and paddling techniques in the local area.

Participants will need:
Appropriate clothing for conditions of the day. Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, helmets, food and water for the day. Thermos with hot beverage may be nice.
